In Paper Plane, we meet four dancers who open the door to a parallel universe. In the center of the stage is a folded Paper Plane created by designer Johanna Mårtensson. The dancers bodies move and are sculptured by the plane. They twist, disappear, throw, slide, fold and unfold. The atmosphere shifts; from dreamingly slow to sparklingly fast. The piece is made for RIKSTEATERN and the music is written by world renowned composer Mikael Karlsson.
The piece was performed at Dansens Hus/International Scene of Contemporary Dance, Stockholm (big stage) in november 2018. Together with two new dancers: Rita Lemivaara and Gesine Moog and with the original dancers: Stacey Aung and Jade Stenhuijs, Carrasco developed the piece and made a special version for this occasion.
Premiere 6 March 2017 at Stora Teatern, Gothenburg
